How to Submit a Visit

Thanks for considering Felix! To request a new prescription, follow these simple steps:

  1. Head to our homepage and go to the "Treatments" tab at the top. (On our mobile site, just tap the icon with 3 lines on the top right to find "Treatments")

  2. Select the treatment you are interested in.

  3. Select "Get Started" (or "Find out if you're eligible" for Weight Loss treatment).

From here, you will begin your visit which guides you through creating your profile, submitting your ID and insurance details, and completing a quick medical assessment!

Note: We may not be able to display all of the available medications within a category during the treatment selection process, but you can always clarify your medication preference with the prescribing practitioner directly once the visit is submitted.

A prescription will only be issued after you've connected with a practitioner and discussed the request for treatment further.

Does it Cost Anything?

Felix charges a fee for the online visit with your healthcare practitioner based on the treatment category and complexity. Visit fees are separate from medication costs.

The visit fee helps cover:

  • A prescription, which is typically valid for up to a year (depending on the treatment).

  • Ongoing support from the healthcare practitioner or pharmacist.

  • Again, depending on the treatment, free prescription renewals once your prescription has depleted.

More info on visit pricing can be found here.

Note: A payment method is required to be on file for visit fee purposes. Medication costs are separate and are charged by the pharmacy once a prescription is issued.

What to Expect Next

After submitting your visit, a healthcare practitioner will review your assessment and get in touch with you directly through an online chat. (You can check out this article if you were having trouble finding this chat!)

During this visit, you can clarify if you have a preferred medication brand or a desired quantity in mind.

If approved, your prescription is sent to our pharmacy, which ships and delivers your medication with free express delivery. Refills are sent automatically based on your chosen shipping schedule.

Note: All clinical decisions are made at the discretion of each healthcare practitioner after reviewing your medical assessment.

When am I Charged for the Medication?

You are charged for your medication when the pharmacy begins processing your fill, which depends on your prescription's refill schedule. Depending on your treatment, you can change the shipping frequency of your refills on the checkout page of the visit to be monthly, bi-monthly, or every three months.

Note: Treatment and pricing details shown during the assessment are only an estimate of what that treatment plan could look like if fulfilled by the Felix Pharmacy. However, the prescription and cost can vary depending on what is actually prescribed, after you've connected with the practitioner.

Medication costs displayed are without any applicable coverage.

Will my Insurance Cover my Medication?

As long as your coverage information is uploaded to your account, we can direct bill your insurance/benefits provider. However, coverage verification cannot occur before your first fill is processed.

As such, we always recommend speaking with your insurance provider first to confirm your potential coverage for the medication you are looking to be prescribed by providing them with the DIN number.

We highly suggest doing this for Weight Loss medication as Special Authorization may be required by your insurance provider. More info on that process can be found here.
