Medications are shipped in appropriate packaging to adhere to temperature requirements per medication, shipping distance, and/or weather forecast. This may include regular bubble mailers or insulating cold chain packaging. These types of medications include Ozempic, Wegovy, Saxenda, and Mounjaro.
Ozempic and Wegovy
Refrigeration is not required after Ozempic or Wegovy is dispensed by our pharmacy, and can be kept viable between 2°C and 30°C.

The pen has a window and the medication liquid inside will be visible. Please wipe the window and ensure it is free of any possible external condensation. If the liquid is clear and colourless (like water), the medication is stable and should be ready for use within the 56 day shelf life as indicated by the manufacturer guidelines (the exact date will be noted on a neon green sticker).

Saxenda
Saxenda is shipped in temperature-regulated packaging to keep the internal temperature of the medication between 2°C and 8°C for a period of 72 hours while in transit.
The pen has a window and the medication liquid inside will be visible. Please wipe the window and ensure it is free of any possible external condensation. If the liquid is clear and colourless (like water), the medication is stable and should be ready for use, as indicated by the manufacturer guidelines.

As long as the liquid in the vial is colourless to slightly yellow, the medication should be stable and ready for use as indicated by the manufacturer guidelines.
